honestly I want to know why a disc golf course has not been proposed for Roger Scott Playgrounds. There is plenty of room for a course and could be incorporated around the playing fields. Has anyone ever tried to talk to the city about this?

It seems like this has been talked about before but was there any solution about the city putting in a course there? I would be willing to help if anyone had the opportunity to talk to the city.

The city is a tough cookie. we all know how a$$backwards they are. Pensacola thinks that all they need are the Blue Angels to fly once or twice a year and that is good enough. I know it is harsh, but it is the truth. P'cola is going backwards and has been politically for 30 years. Road work looks good though.

Thanks for the kind words about Road work.. I work for Escambia County Engineering and I know all of the Engineers who are constantly fixing roads, repaving, paving dirt roads etc.. we stay busy as long as money comes in...

Roger Scott... LBJ I could email you a map of the area to scale if you could kind of create a proposed course. It is a very beautiful park, but a major concern would be discs flying into the Airport over the fence... let me know if you want me to send you a map.

I have walked that area a few times back in the days of getting DG started. That area has potential for a "fun" course. If discs can end up on the airport proerty it becomes F.O.D. -foreign object debris. That would pose a problem. All airfields have strict policies on "littering". However, it may be a case where discs could be thrown and just lost by the player for good,and/or be far enough away to be considered FOD.

Here is a bird's eye view

I don't see tons of area where a course can go in where it's not near a ball field, tennis court etc, or near airport fencing.

I see what you mean. There is a lot of room still for a course but I'm not sure the rule/reg on using the space they have. It would be centrally located and a great spot for one for the town of Pensacola.
